Targeting & Improving HOS & CAHPS in the Context of a Medicare Star-Focused Population Health Program
San Diego, CA, June 21, 2016 – One of the most complex challenges in the context of Medicare Star is truly getting a handle on HOS and CAHPS: who are members that are likely to have undesirable responses and how can the plan achieve sustained improvement in these measures?
Currently, plans tackle these measures by either blanketing the population with communications about these issues, or indirectly addressing them through newsletter communications. While these approaches can provide incremental gains for these measures, it does not provide the necessary intensity and personalization to address these issues head-on, and provide the right services to members that need them the most.
In this session, Mr. Aminzadeh discusses the profiles of members that have desirable and undesirable HOS and CAHPS responses, and how best to target the right members to yield consistent improvement in these measures.
